The Burren’s unique limestone landscape is home to crystal-clear lakes and rivers with wild brown trout. These spring-fed waters, nestled in an otherworldly terrain of rocky plateaus and lush valleys, offer both a scenic and serene fly fishing experience. Guided by local expert, Alex Joyce, you can choose to wade the river bank or be guided in my 13ft Sheelin flyfishing boat.

I currently offer day and 1/2 day guided flyfishing adventures on the rivers and hidden lakes of Co. Clare. These are both wild brown & seatrout fisheries. The Co. Clare rivers are creek size and a weight 4 rod is the perfect tool. The lakes are secluded and a boat is needed, we typically fish with # 5 rods using wet and dry flies.
